WHAT IS A GYEON CERAMIC COATING?
GYEON coatings are based on SiO2 (silicone-dioxide) or fluoro-modified polysilazanes. It’s a liquid hand applied coating that transforms into a solid, transparent and highly self-cleaning protective layer once fully crystallized. This acts as a Hydrophobic Sacrificial Layer of Protection.
Once a coating is fully cured, you are left with a very thin layer designed to be chemical resistant and removable only by high abrasion (polishing). Being a liquid during application, the coating penetrates the porous structure of the paint and seals it. This does increase the slickness of any automotive paint enormously. A ceramic coating has great UV resistance, which prevents the paint from oxidation.

While many car enthusiasts and even detailers believe it to be an alternative to clear bra (paint protection film), ceramic coating, in reality, is an alternative to waxing.
