WHAT ARE SWIRL MARKS?
Swirl marks are scratches caused by small particles making abrasive contact with the finish of a car. The term "swirl marks", comes from the fact that these scratches typically occur when one is washing or detailing a vehicle. The usage of low quality and dirty cloths, impure water, or both (typically the case of automated car wash machines) can cause unwanted particles to leave behind deep scratches. Improper wash techniques also cause this, we love to educate our clients to ensure proper maintenance.
There are absolutely no short-cuts to completely reversing these imperfections; a typical paint correction treatment may take anywhere between 10 to 30 hours depending on the severity.**
